I know. It's all of Tuesday.
However, I just want to tell you some cool stories.
Sunday was full of things I needed to hear, Monday I randomly got out of two classes early- which let me find out that only half of my Student Loan came through, and have time to call the loan officer.
(Now that doesn't sound like a happy thing, right? It's sort of not. I may have thrown a world class, terrible-twos style tantrum in my head.
(I seriously considered walking around campus like this. ;) ) |
Normally I'm pretty busy all day and wouldn't have been able to check on my tuition and fees status (and not known that I was going to have late fees since only half came through), and I wouldn't have time to call the loan officer and review the contract. So chalk that one up to tender mercies in disguise. :) )
Also on Monday one of my roommates signed up for institute (after I thought she flaked on coming to my class with me. See? Another disguise.) After I called the loan officer and got online to see the documents, I had time to listen to my other roommate who was having a rough day. We had an awesome religious discussion, which made me feel like I can take on the world, because, hey! I've got the gospel!
Today I got to sleep in, because my first class had an optional day where the instructor kind of encouraged sluffing. Do you think I need any more convincing? :) So I had time to get ready, study, and clean. Awesome? Yes. Time is a ridiculously precious commodity these days. (Which is sad, but good. Time management will be learned whether I want to or not. :p )
I had time after class to pay the rest of my fees, and get a huge head start on homework. Also, a cute nerd from College Study Skills asked me on a date. And his last name is Hirschi. Like Hershey candy bar. Chocolate nerds can't be too bad, right?
(Hehe... do you get my joke?) |
Anywho, sorry I'm so scatter brained. Lots of 'nothings' to tell.
I finished my math (it's so funny to me to do homework. It's online and after you put the answer in and submit it, a little box pops up with either a green, "Good Job" or a red "Incorrect". Obviously green is good. I work through the problem, type in the answer, and hit submit; and every time I'm surprised when the beautiful little green "Good Job" peeks out at me. Every. Time. :p You'd think I'd get used to doing ok in math. Guess I've got a complex. ;) ) and got started on my BT 1010 online exam. Basically it's a simulated word program where you have to make all sorts of changes a certain way. I pay attention in class and follow along, but sometimes he loses me among all the different short cuts. The test has 82 questions, and in order to pass the course you have to score 80% or higher on every single test. In other words, you can have A++'s in every assignment, and still fail the course if you get less than 80% on one exam.
No pressure, right?
I started the test thinking, "Fingers crossed? Check. Prayer said? Double check."
There were honestly so many that I could not remember to save my life at first, but then I remembered, "Hey. That's what the Holy Ghost is for!" So I said another prayer, and to make a long story short I got an 84%! Despite missing a badrillion at the beginning. :) I'd be on a problem and think, "I have no stinkin' idea. Cookies then cry? Or cry then cookies?" and then I'd notice something I hadn't seen before, or have an idea. Every time it'd be right.
How cool is that?? I'm sooo grateful for the gospel. I'd be an awful student without it, I think.
