School!

Hey! School started last Thursday, and although I have to admit that I've complained about getting up and going to school, I like it so far! I love seeing people that I haven't all summer! It's a lot of fun to catch up. So as for my classes, *(I can't remember if I've already told you all of them but oh well if I have- we'll elaborate this time. :) ) A days go something like this:
First hour is Social Dance. No offense meant toward any of the guys in that class, but I'm a little worried about the whole flipping-swing-dance stuff. I'm not sure I trust them enough to risk my head. :p It does sound like a lot of fun though. Second hour is English, and I like a lot of the people in my class but I'm not really close with a lot of them either so it's different than last year. Last year I had Mrs. Jordan (I'd totally recomend her, she's great!) and so it's weird to have Mrs. Seegmiller. She's only been teaching for a couple of years now and you can kind of tell. She's not a bad teacher, by any means, but she's not obviously experienced. We'll see how it goes I guess right? I have a couple of kids from my ward in that class too: Brooke and Tanner. Tanner is so entertaining, I love that guy! His hair is pretty much the highlight of my day. :p Third hour is Food Pro Start and so we're learning restraunt cooking I guess. I wasn't really sure and I haven't really taken Foods one or two, so I'm hoping that wasn't too important. I just signed up for the class because it sounded way fun! Tanner is in that class too, as well as Ammon and Lynae and Payton... they're all way fun! I love people. :) I'm mostly excited for the end of the year (and I suppose the breakfast thing where we get to school at like, six thirty or something and cook breakfast so it's some CHS restraunt thingy mahoojafetchit. Sounds entertaining at the very least.) anyway, at the end of the year we're going to Vegas to some five star restraunt I guess. Which will be pretty fun. We talk to the chefs and all those people which sounds really intriguing since I've actually toyed with the idea of being a chef or something like that myself. Fourth hour is French and it's going fairly well. I mostly understand what the teacher tells us (it's an all french class so he rarely, if ever, speaks english. It gets a little exciting sometimes... but I've discovered that Ceste La Vie means 'it's life' and now I can die. :p I've figured it out! :D ) The best part about French, though, is the end of the year trip. They're going to France, obviously, and Madrid. I've always wanted to go to Europe, and especially Spain so I wish we went there more than France but it's still really awesome! I just need to start saving like crazy. Which usually isn't all that fun for me since the minute I decide not to spend money I find all these things that I really really want and I can't buy them. It's almost depressing but when I'm on the plane to Europe I'm pretty sure the cute jewlry and cute hoodies won't seem like so much of a sacrafice. :)
B days are kinda not as fun as A days, in my opinion... but they're not completely unbearable. Last year I had Science and Math... two of my not so favorite subjects. Science is interesting and occasionally fun if you have a good teacher, but mine wasn't quite as agreeable as I would have liked. The good news is I'm completely done with Science credits so now I just have to suffer through Math. On B days I start out with Orchestra (I try to convince my dad that 'Dorkestra' is our affectionate nick name for it... he doesn't really buy it. Really though, in a way it sort of is affectionate. In a weird twisted sort of way. :p) We're playing some Led Zepplin this year again, but it'll be the whole orchestra, rather than just Chaimber. Auditions are Friday so I'm just a little bit nervous, but I'm sure I'll survive. Maybe. I'm looking forward to next year a little bit more because it's the Disneyland trip... I LOVE Disneyland! :) It's so cute and magical and cute! I especially love mainstreet, but don't ask me about the Tiki room unless you want me to get sick again. (My whole family and My cousins all got some sort of flu. I sort of associate it with the Tiki room because thats what I saw later that night... Pineapple isn't my favorite anymore. :p ) Anyway, I'm getting side tracked. Next after Dorkestra is Algebra 2... not so great, and I really don't have much to say about it. Maybe later on when I'm really stressed I'll tell you about it while venting. :) Just kidding. It's not too bad so far, but I had homework already. I'm not ready for homework yet! :) Too much! Too soon! ... Uhh... yeah. So Third hour is Seminary, I have Brother Jones and I'm way excited. He's so much fun, he should be a John Bytheway or something. He's really good at what he does. We did a 'get to know you' kind of thing today where we have to 'sell' our names to the class. (Bro Jones did advertising for a while before he decided to be a seminary teacher.) There were some pretty entertaining ones, but I'm pretty sure my favorite was Jose. :D He walked to the front of the classroom and started explaining his picture. "This is Brazil. It's my favorite country, there's a story about four great American soccer players..." He was so serious through all of it too. He's awesome, I love that guy! He's really awesome at soccer I guess, I haven't ever seen him play.... Fourth hour is US History... Which might be entertaining if it wasn't boring so far. I like history when I think about it, but sometimes in class it seems to drag on forever. Today was really random too. It was 'outside the US' history... at least thats what I called it. We talked about Marco Polo and Black gold... Nicole is in my class and Jacquelyn and Joree... And Saryn and Cody... they're fun people. With the seating set up I face a lot of the class and so we kinda talk a little bit. But its' like reading lips conversations across the room. It's actually quite entertaining. But not so good when you start laughing and Mr. Anderson looks over at you like he's going to throw you out. :o (Oops!)

So yeah... there's my school schedual. I've been really distracted lately by my story. Like in History I started writing a little exerpt which was very random. And I'm trying to get opinions so let me know what you think of this part... I feel like my writing is kind of weak but a lot of my friends really love it so... who knows. Maybe I'm a really harsh critic. Anyway, here's part of the story! And seriously, leave comments on what you think and stuff... or just comments in general. I like reading them. :)
"Mrs. Aldredge, I think Elle has a really good paper she wanted to share." Colten looked over at me and smiled. I scowled back at him.
"Oh? Alright, Elle. Why don't you read it for us?" She smiled over her glasses folding her hands and waiting for me to begin. I sighed and began reading. My paper was an analyzation of William Carlos Williams' poem, The Red Wheelbarrow. I had gone over my paper millions of times trying to find all the layers, and drawing comparisons. As I read I could feel Colten watching me and I glanced up breifly to see how he was reacting to my paper. I was sort of expecting him to do something silly, but I still stumbled over my words for a moment when he winked at me. When I read the last line and Mrs. Alldredge turned to write some of my stronger points on the white board I looked across the room at Colten. The seating arrangement was set up so that there was a horse shoe shape with two rows in the middle of it. Colten just so happened to sit right across from me and so we faced each other the majority of the time. "We are over." I growled under my breath at him, feigning anger. He looked up with exagerated saddnes and huge eyes,
"I can't," he mouthed, "I need you!" I rolled my eyes, suppressing a smile.
"Fine." I mouthed back- the laughter silently written in my eyes, "But you are in serious trouble, Mister. You owe me ice cream." He looked over with a hint of a smile on his lips.
"Alirght." He nodded solemnly at me. I grinned back at him and then hurried to write down some notes on the lecture Mrs. Aldredge was now giving.

Well, that's all I have of my random exerpt from History. It is sort of based on something kinda similar that happened. Just the talking across the room and the seating arrangement anyway. However, I am now on my way to Dairy Queen for dinner or something equally random. I think it's a reward for loading hay at the farm. Either way, I'm going for ice cream! Au revoir! :)

The sisterhood returns!

Hey! It's definintely been a while since I've updated this. My most recent excuse is that I'm working on writing a book. It's called Love at Second Sight, and I'm getting pretty into it this time. Usually I get bored before page three. I'm on eighteen now so who knows how long it'll be before I either get bored or give up. Ideally I'd like to have a standard length book, and my dream would be to have it published. But like I said, it's mostly just a dream. My friend, Alex, from Austrailia has been dubbed my editor so I send him sections as I finish them. I want him to co write it with me so he can write the guy's point of view, seeing how he is a guy I'm sure he'd do it justice more than I can. :)
Later on today three of my friends from Piute are coming to watch The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, so I'm really excited. I saw Shay and Lyvi when I went to Shalece's during Piute's county fair, but I haven't seen Tabby since I moved last year and she's coming too! Once upon a time we tried to watch the first Traveling Pants movie but the DVD was scratched, we still love the story though and so when Lyvi moved to Kanab our freshman year, we had a sisterhood of the traveling earrings. :) They didn't make it too far, and fell apart in the envelope eventually... but I think it's mostly the idea that was so much fun. We'll see how it goes, I read the book and I'm afraid it might be a little... questionable. I hope not. But seeing how every movie is these days, it probably will be.
School starts tomorrow. Can you believe it? It's crazy! Time flies way too fast. I went in to register yesterday and even went to all the trouble of doing my hair and makeup really good for pictures, but they didn't do them at registration like they did last year. Bummer. So I hung out with some people at the seminary for a while, and then Nicole Terry and I convinced Greg Kunzler to drive us to Dairy Queen so we could buy frozen hot chocolates. :) YUM! If you haven't tried one of those yet, you need to... today! :D Anyway, I'm excited for school. I've got some fun classes, but I can't actually remember them all so I'll have to tell you all about it tomorrow when I get home from the first day of school!

Oh dear.

Well, that's it. I've given up on believing in mail men. Men in general also, but mostly just mailmen because my stupid pre-ordered Breaking Dawn isn't here yet. The whole world is going to be finished reading it before I even start it! Which, by the way, is very depressing. Speaking of depressing, school starts in exactly 9 days, 18 hours and 27 minutes. ... Or maybe just ten days. :) I'm pretty sure I'm not ready to get up and get ready that early. HAHA... sorry, I just took a break to re-record my answering machine on my cell phone. I had my sister Erin be my 'personal secretary' apologizing that I didn't answer the phone because Im having a break down over mailmen not delivering twilight, and in the back ground you can hear me freaking out... I didn't know you could hear me. :p It's quite entertaining. Anyway... School is starting and I'm a junior, and that means only two years until college and that's not enough time to save enough money.... life is pretty crazy. But I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there, I'll just save now and then deal with ramen noodles and mac&cheese later when I'm stuck eating that for every meal trying to survive. So now I'm off to run laps around my house while I wait for the mail. Oh! I almost forgot the most exciting news of all! I actually straightened my hair today and in the middle of that excitement my cousin called. I guess we're going on a 'road trip' to Beaver or Filmore to go on a double date with this guy from our EFY and his friend. Fun right? We'll see how it goes I suppose. And if I could ever find my camera I'd definitely take pictures!
