Thank Heavens!

.

I know. It's all of Tuesday.
However, I just want to tell you some cool stories.
Sunday was full of things I needed to hear, Monday I randomly got out of two classes early- which let me find out that only half of my Student Loan came through, and have time to call the loan officer.
(Now that doesn't sound like a happy thing, right? It's sort of not. I may have thrown a world class, terrible-twos style tantrum in my head.
(I seriously considered walking around campus like this. ;) )

Normally I'm pretty busy all day and wouldn't have been able to check on my tuition and fees status (and not known that I was going to have late fees since only half came through), and I wouldn't have time to call the loan officer and review the contract. So chalk that one up to tender mercies in disguise. :) )
Also on Monday one of my roommates signed up for institute (after I thought she flaked on coming to my class with me. See? Another disguise.) After I called the loan officer and got online to see the documents, I had time to listen to my other roommate who was having a rough day. We had an awesome religious discussion, which made me feel like I can take on the world, because, hey! I've got the gospel!
Today I got to sleep in, because my first class had an optional day where the instructor kind of encouraged sluffing. Do you think I need any more convincing? :) So I had time to get ready, study, and clean. Awesome? Yes. Time is a ridiculously precious commodity these days. (Which is sad, but good. Time management will be learned whether I want to or not. :p )
I had time after class to pay the rest of my fees, and get a huge head start on homework. Also, a cute nerd from College Study Skills asked me on a date. And his last name is Hirschi. Like Hershey candy bar. Chocolate nerds can't be too bad, right?
(Hehe... do you get my joke?)

Anywho, sorry I'm so scatter brained. Lots of 'nothings' to tell.
I finished my math (it's so funny to me to do homework. It's online and after you put the answer in and submit it, a little box pops up with either a green, "Good Job" or a red "Incorrect". Obviously green is good. I work through the problem, type in the answer, and hit submit; and every time I'm surprised when the beautiful little green "Good Job" peeks out at me. Every. Time. :p You'd think I'd get used to doing ok in math. Guess I've got a complex. ;) ) and got started on my BT 1010 online exam. Basically it's a simulated word program where you have to make all sorts of changes a certain way. I pay attention in class and follow along, but sometimes he loses me among all the different short cuts. The test has 82 questions, and in order to pass the course you have to score 80% or higher on every single test. In other words, you can have A++'s in every assignment, and still fail the course if you get less than 80% on one exam.
No pressure, right?
I started the test thinking, "Fingers crossed? Check. Prayer said? Double check."
There were honestly so many that I could not remember to save my life at first, but then I remembered, "Hey. That's what the Holy Ghost is for!" So I said another prayer, and to make a long story short I got an 84%! Despite missing a badrillion at the beginning. :) I'd be on a problem and think, "I have no stinkin' idea. Cookies then cry? Or cry then cookies?" and then I'd notice something I hadn't seen before, or have an idea. Every time it'd be right.
How cool is that?? I'm sooo grateful for the gospel. I'd be an awful student without it, I think.

Life of a not so starving college student.

.

So I love my roommates. They're right up my alley when it comes to treats... but unfortunately that means on top of my super healthy mac and cheese, my weight watchers' worst nightmare enchilada stuff, and my overly large amounts of peanut butter granola bars, I'm eating scotcharoos and cupcakes like a mad woman. Plus Tori and Sami and I know that girl's night isn't complete without some Pinterest recipe experimenting.
Hence thunder thighs that no amount of yoga 1 can remedy. (I should just break down and run when I get home from classes but I'm lazy and kinda exhausted by then.)
Basically, "I love myself and I hate myself. But my diet starts tomorrow."

(Click here if you don't understand that reference. You definitely need some educating. :) )

In other news, today I got to listen to Endre Hegedus play in a Convocations class instead of going to my College Study Skills class. (Yet another reason why I love Nathalie, the professor.)
He's a Hungarian musician... and I sorta think he's probably a genius. He fits the profile... little old man, wild grey hair, awesome accent. All in all, rather charming. I invited Sami to come with me, and we decided he's the cutest little Hungarian pianist we know. (Since we know so many.)
He had every piece memorized, it was INSANE to watch his fingers fly over the keys. Insane.
I just remembered how much I like classical. It's just so... emotional. You can feel the story that composers were telling. I absolutely love how much passion there is in the music.
Since I'm all converted today, you're gonna join me. (Please? :) )

And now me and my thunder thighs are headed out to yoga. Wish us luck... we need it.

(Does it make me schizophrenic that I'm referring to my thighs as people who need luck? I should go to bed VERY early tonight.)

Sign me up for the mental institutions.

.

Remember that one time I told you about the Library looking a whole half block further away than it was?
Well. That wasn't true.
I discovered today that my brain is morbidly obese and wildly out of shape. I was looking at the Noyes building in the background. Not the Library. Oh my goodness. (Scratches head and pouts like Shirley Temple.)

Reason number two. I got all the way done shopping at Wally world with my roommate Fabi, and even got all the way checked out before I realized that I didn't have my wallet. Poor cashier. She probably hated me a little.

So, if you get a pass along card for the Looney bin... maybe you should submit my name.

Just sayin. :) (P.S I went into class yesterday and it was cloudy. I came out and it was doing baby flurries. A few homework assignments in the library later and my car was hiding under like 2 inches of snow!! It's a wonderland here! For a second. Then the sun shines and we're all just drowning. ;) )

My love affair with the library.

It's seriously cutting into other personal habits. Like sleeping and eating and sedentary lifestyleisms.
However, I may be falling in love with it.
And that's concerning.

This week I've hung out with Tori and Sami twice, both times eating way too much, and being obnoxious.
Last night we made jalapeno poppers and home made oreos and watched chick flicks. Are you jealous of my social life outside of my love for the Library?
I learned two things yesterday:
Firstly, Library parties with last year's roommates are really fun but you get very little done between giggles.
Second, jalapeno poppers with bacon in them are addictive. If you give into addiction the rest of your evening is borderline miserable. (The added oreo goodness didn't help my insides at all.)

Also, it's snowing today. Grand, except the library is closing in thirty minutes and I can't even read in front of a fire place anymore.

I've got lots of random pictures to post, but I don't have a way to up load them right now... so there'll be a later explosion of pictures later.

Anywho, I'm pretty sure I'm being kicked out by library staff right now! Haha The end?

Title of original content and deep thought,

.

Hello ladies. You are now thinking of a hunky black man on a horse, smelling like Old Spice. You are also now hearing the whistle tag line from the end of the commercials, and reading this in a very attractive, bass- like voice.
;)
Just some eye candy... smell like a man, man!
Now, in all seriousness, Hello readers.
I'm here to tell you about the cruelty of optical illusions.
Let's say your roommate locked their wallet in your car from the dreaded Wal-Mart trip. Let's also say she needs you to come home so she can purchase mathlab online. Let's ALSO say you're pooped, and you get there and then think, oh yeah. I have to go do homework in the Library for the rest of the night, whose computer room is conveniently cell phone service free. So. You step out of your apartment thinking, good thing it's nice outside! What a beautiful day! You start walking across the street, gazing upon the Library in the gorgeous late afternoon lighting. You just know it's right across the street. Because that's what you see, of course.
However this is where the moral of the story comes into play.
The further across the parking lot you get, the more the trees start moving around so the library is hidden and you realize shoot. I have all of half a block to walk and I'm lazy, so this is a big deal.
The end. :)

No really, classes are going great but Mr. Math genius hasn't wasted any time on assigning the homework left and right! (Watch out, there's totally cross-fire.)
I'm really liking Personal and Family Health already, it's my longest class, but the professor is awesome. He's hilarious, opinionated and used to be an LDS Bishop, and so some of his lessons have a little bit of a spiritual feel. (It seems like a fair amount of them do this year. Minus math. I'd like to delude myself into believing math truly is of the devil, and when I die I'll be rid of it. Unless of course I go down...)
*Side note... this girl walked in front of my computer wearing large slices of yellow cheese for earrings. Interesting?
Another bonus, the roommates are all really kind girls. They seem awesome so far! And having my own room hasn't been too challenging either. ;)

Anywho, Monday is Martin Luther King holiday- which means no school- which means I'm giving a guy from my home ward a ride home, and watching Justin Bieber which an anonymous source (cough Marty? cough cough) has informed me is actually kinda interesting. We'll see, but oh baby I'm excited! (Hehe. Bieber humor for you there...)

And now lastly, I'm a hideous person and I maybe ran away to the library sooner than I originally planned to avoid a dinner invitation. What's wrong with me? Poor starving college student + dinner date = free food!! :p I just don't have time for awkward dates tonight. I have Algebraic monsters breathing down my neck.
Speaking of which, it's about to sink its teeth so I should actually be productive in this place. :p

More later!

Booth is driving to Ephraim tomorrow

.

So I figured I should blog before I don't have a computer for a while.
Again, mostly pictures...

Firstly, Kaitlyn and I went to 5 Buck Pizza, to carry on tradition, and to catch up on life. :) She's been going to college in Arizona, so it's been a while! She's got all sorts of twitterpated stories to share too. :p

Don't mind me. I'm just a ravenous chipmunk.
Pinterest showed this idea to tape paper with a small cut out in front of your camera lens, so the twins and I got crafty... :p

WooWoo! Happy new years! Kaitlyn and I are occasionally lame and have no plans on New Year's Eve. Of course we had to remedy that and have a mocktail party, rent some ridiculous love stories, and eat plenty of junk food before we decide to be healthy for our New Year's Resolutions.

My dad let us borrow a projector and the twins set up pillows in the corner to sprawl out on. :)

The twins have been walking dogs for a couple in our ward, and they brought them to our house to show them off to me. (Because I may have been being lazy and not going on a walk with them. :p)

Admit it. They're kinda cute. :)
Grandpa's Birthday party on Wednesday was pretty much awesome. :) We had snacky food instead of desserts (although I'm pretty sure it's about quantity not quality, so I failed anyway), and played Bunko! I haven't played that in years, but for Grandma and Grandpa's anniversaries we used to play Bunko a lot! (Or at least my little kid brain remembers it that way. It also remembers winning boobie prizes more often than not.)

Call me crazy, but this tray was honestly my favorite! Too bad the ranch to veggie ratio was a little lop sided on my plate.

P.S Cameron gave us his rendition of Uncle Lloyd's gruff happy birthday song.
(Way to go Cam! Uncle Lloyd may have been replaced. ;) )

These I had to sneak because they're just so Grammie Marilyn.  :D

Isn't she stinkin adorable?? I love our family!
Also, Aubree invited me to come with her to her dress fitting earlier this week. No spoilers, but it's GORGEOUS! It seriously fits her personality so well! I'm super excited to see the rest of the wedding come together! :D

Also, Also (kinda like p.p.s) The twins and I went to Gold's yesterday. I'm pretty sure they made me feel old. Why does energy run away a little more every year? Obviously I have some serious work to do. Having them come with me was really fun though... working out alone gets a little boring sometimes. Despite funny old men who spend sooo much time and effort on working out their arms, totally forgetting about the fact it looks like they're smuggling a punch bowl under their shirt. :p

P.P.S.Also, Did you know they're making a movie of Life Of Pi??
This could get interesting. I'm kind of excited to see how they portray it... it's a pretty complex plot. Lot's of layers. Movies usually don't capture that very well. Guess we'll see, right? Who wants to be my movie date? :p

Anywho. Cheers to the weekend!

Well... the world hasn't collapsed yet. Crossed fingers?

.

Or I guess we could march over to the local Wal Mart and buy a new Mayan calendar? Sounds good to me...
In other news... pinterest is addicting and yes, I'm going to talk about it. There's one pin that says something dramatic like, "2011, the last fat year of my life!" Which, ya know, I adopted. So last night my friend and I pigged out. Last fat day, gonna make the best of it right? All sorts of goodness. Then I woke up feeling all sorts of motivated for 2012. The problem is the fatty treats from the last day of my life happened to have leftovers that spilled right on into 2012.
P.S. Freckles.
(Freckles freckles freckles freckles naughty naughty freckles freckles. Love you twins :) )
(You're welcome for the shout out.)
If you happened to be here while I typed this lovely blog on my broken laptop with it being projected onto my bedroom wall... you'll understand. If not- laugh anyway? :) )
In other news, I have picked a blog title for someday in the distant (distant distant) future when I am married (for love or for bribery) and I have mini me's. (Inspiration complements of Marty)
I call it... (drrrrruuuumm rollllll!)

"The (whatever my last name is) and their box of crackers."

Despite the mild slang usage I find it rather entertaining.

Now we're gonna watch shark's swim across my wall menacingly. (Shark week via projector. Best idea ever.)
You think they're just happy scuba diving campers... but no. Brucy's here.
