Oh yeah? Beat this!

Guess where I am currently sitting?

WRONG! I'm at home. As in Cedar stinkin City!
I semi love spur of the moment runaways to my adobe. Last night I got to chill with my cute cousin Maycee at her AWESOME apartment, and giggle while catching up about boys.
Me and Maycee hiking in the slot canyons with our fam a couple years ago.

After making snow angels and frosting our bottoms we had to pose for a picture!

And now I'm waiting for my dad to come home so we can have a daddy daughter date! I have a confession,
I've missed Cedar City and my family. I almost can't wait until summer so I can move home. :)
(Also, this note for Angie: I had dreams about cameras! Haha I found this  horrid little camera body but I had this GINORMOUS lens and I turned into a master photographer! :p I thought it was kinda funny, and I was hiding out in this house that had ants crawling everywhere so I used to flash to scare them away. And then Aunt Cherene took me to some REALLY cultural ritual thingy and it was supposed to be inspiring to us for my future wedding reception. Haha. I may or may not have had sugar before going to bed. :p)

Chemistry.

No, no, no. Not that... the other Chemistry.

Getting warmer... (although, unfortunately I don't look as cool or happy as this guy in that class. :p)

Ok so not really this one either. But I thought it was funny.

On to my story: sometimes in Chemistry lab we separate one substance into three different ones. And sometimes the one substance starts out as 3grams, but by the time you've filtered, decanted, evaporated and re-weighed you end up with three substances that total up to 5.12grams. Interesting? Indeed. That, my dears, is what we call a series of discrepancies. Also, every time I put on my safety glasses I feel like Taylor Swift in "Teardrops on My Guitar" when she's in her chem class giggling and spilling things all over her crush. Except my lap partner isn't my crush. My lap partner varies from a foot ball jock with a cold, or two know it all girls. And my hair isn't ringlets of flaxen wonder.
So mainly I guess I feel like a girl wearing safety glasses....
But that song always pops into my head!
Movin on...Yesterday I didn't realize that a parking lot was for faculty only and therefore after I got out of my 9:30 class I found a pretty, folded paper. Sadly the writing wasn't as pretty as the folding. Thankfully the ticket was only for $25.00. But, I'm running over to Tyler's now so ttfn!

1, 2, 3 ZUMBA!

Someday I'll remember to use my camera for the purpose of which it was invented. But for all intensive purposes we're borrowing a picture from this little thing I like to call the world wide webster.
Anywho. Sami, Tori, Karlee and I went to Zumba last night after FHE.
(Which p.s. was hilarious. They switched the groups up so we have new apartments in our group. One of the guys from A5- I think- said that he knew this apartment because he saw someone being kissed on our balcony, at this point every single one of my roommates is pointing at me. Traitors. ;) So Craig, the guy who saw the kiss, said that I'm almost in his friend group now because he feels we have a connection since he spied on my kiss. And then the rest of the night I didn't hear the end of it. I have a feeling I may never live that one down. Shoot.)
So after playing werewolf and eating root-beer floats, we jumped in the car and belted songs all the way to Nephi and skipped into Zumba. For the record, it's about ten thousand times harder than you'd think. It's intense! We have so much fun though, even if I hadn't ever been there before and didn't have a clue what I was doing. I'm sure that added to the fun for the rest of the participants.
After sweating our guts out, we went to Reeds, and Torrence got piccadillies (I apologize sincerely if that's misspelled, but my computer is just throwin out a bunch of spanish words in spell check. Which is not what I'm after here...), Karlee got ice cream and me and Sam emptied out their supply of ice and tap water. Oh wait! You can't run out of that stuff. :p
So. That's my tangent for today. I've gotta run and get ready for class. :)

See the one that looks semi in pain in the purple? Yeah. That was me.

Free Workout post...

So Friday was Tyler's birthday. Their neighbor girls planned a surprise party that I almost didn't know about :p until I found out I had to preoccupy him for a few hours that night while they set it up. So we went to Roy's (best pizza ever!) and got the absolute smallest pizza they have, and colored. Unfortunately Tyler got way into the coloring. I was trying so hard to hurry him along without seeming suspicious. The surprise party was for two other people as well, so we missed the initial 'jump out of the dark screaming' surprise moment... but it's ok because Tyler still was crazy surprised and blushed tons. Basically it was a success. :p His roommates made him a minion cake. As in piled 6 layers on, shaped it and then decorated so it looked like a minion. I'm just sayin, it was magnificent. :)
Saturday, I made Tyler a birthday dinner. His favorite food is beef stroganoff on rice, so I tried that out. It wasn't to difficult despite the seven thousand technical difficulties. :p However, I blame those on a messy kitchen and myself rather than the recipe.

This is the part where you get the free exercise. I would like you all to exercise your imagination and pretend thats exactly what my food looked like. :p I forgot to get my camera out, which is semi sad, because although it didn't look like this tasty picture it still looked pretty good. Dessert was cutesy baby cheesecakes with strawberries and chocolate on top; we melted chocolate too and dipped pretzels and cookies and raspberries in it. It was pretty fun! Now for my favorite part of blogging.
PICTURES! (They're semi random p.s.)

From foreverish ago at a Snow BBall game!
Karlee, Me, Trever, Tyler, and Ashlyn

Happy roommate clothes swap!

At the Rail Jam

Good sabbath to you all :p

ANTM?

I suppose we felt cute this day. So what do we do? A photo shoot of course.

Sometimes me and Jilly Bean play hair dresser.

Woah, this one is from forever ago. Just chillin with our neighbor boys.
(Me, Jayson, Karlee, Steven, Alisha, Tori)

Baha, can you see Sam's eyes?

Tyler and I at the Rail Jam. Just in case you couldn't find him, he's the one in the crazy bright yellow. :p

Freezing outside on our balcony admiring the sculpture Tyler and I did.

Like I said, we have lots of photo shoots. :p

Again, freezing on the balcony.

Dinner time! Plus Jill's foot.

Classic Torrence face. :)

This was last Sunday when I was teaching in R.S, and Sami was playing in Sacrament. :)

Crazy goons? Indeed.

Does this one really even need a caption?

Sometimes it comes in handy to have intelligent fellows handy...

These would be pictures to document Karlee and Alisha's loneliness (complements of Kar's Camera). Blaine and Tori are still working on Torrence's math homework, Tyler and I just barely finished my chemistry, and therefore got to pose all silly like. :)
Tori and I were giggling across the table, "Thank goodness we have smart boys!"
So. I have to go to class, but I'm going to do a catch up post of MLK weekend stuff, and pictures :)
P.S, will you please check out how cool me and Tyler's snow sculpture is? Look close...
It's a man swimming away from sharks! Bahaha :)

Life teaches you lessons sometimes...

Such as density equals mass divided by volume,
Tori just dominated Jill pickle at a head stand,
Sami is inspirational,
Alisha is a far better friend than me since she's on this crazy diet to support her friend,
Kar likes to dis my choice in movie picking,

And I completely agree with her opinion. :p

"It's alive" .... oooh. Creepy right?

Wrong. Stupid satan baby.

Moving on, have you ever heard the phrase "like mother like daughter"?
I sort of proved that baby right.
Chicken noodle soup?
Yum.
Army sized proportions?
Deal.

I'm stealing this idea from Karlee before I take a nap. Erm. I mean "Come what May"

"The game: Put your ipod on shuffle and answer all of the following questions with the title to the song that comes up. Only shuffle once....don't cheat!"

And thus it began. Karlee's blog is far more artsy and fun to look at... but I'm a lazy feeling sickly bum. And therefore mine is boring. :)

Here we go!

My friends see me as: Ain't going down 'til the sun comes up
What describes your personality: Angry (bahaha)

At my funeral they’ll play: Wake me up when September ends (Ha!)

One time I called a locksmith...

Because I locked my keys in Ted. In the ignition.

I went to Fairview to get my nails done (Merry Christmas to me, from me!) and when I got done I paid the lady, and then realized my keys weren't in my hand. Or pocket. Or anywhere. (Here's where the praying frantically comes into play, but I must not have been as angelic as I should've been because Heavenly Father didn't make my keys magically remove themselves from my ignition and locked truck.)
So I abashedly knocked on her door again and we proceeded to call every single person we know to find someone who knows how to break into cars. Finally we found someone and she took her waiting client downstairs, telling me that I'm welcome to borrow some cash if I didn't have enough to pay for it. A phone call to my dad later and I was still waiting. The poor guy froze to death for at least half an hour- turns out Toyota's are one of the hardest to break into. Kudos for them. So thirty dollars (instead of forty-five) later I'm on my way back to E town. :)
Oh these adventures I get myself into.

Also, this weekend should maybe get here sooner because it's Martin Luther King weekend, which means we get one whole extra day. Huge deal, right? But Tyler is coming to Cedar with me so I'm excited. :)
Anywho. Naptime before class. Au Revoir!

Drum roll please...

Happy New Year!!!

Well Ladies and Gents, I believe I've found it. My word for 2011. I've blogged about the whole "word of the year" thing a couple of times before, but just as a refresher course:
It's awesome. I highly recommend it, and in my opinion it's much better than a gigantor list of resolutions. So for me, the word theme of the year has sort of replaced the unrealistic, set up for disappointment, resolutions. :) And that has made me one happy girl, let me tell you. :p Last year was a rather dynamic year; the epitome of a roller coaster, if you will. So much happened, and passed under the bridge. I lost old friends, found new ones, and put distance between unhealthy ones. I learned from mistakes, and found the courage to make me into the woman God intends me to be. Well, at least set me on that path. Heaven knows I've got one heck of a hike before I reach the final product. :) Last year's word, courage, was so involved in my life and year that I've been stressed out beyond all reason trying to think of a word that could fill the shoes of courage. I decided, though, that it isn't a replacement word. It's a level word. They'll just continue to build on each other throughout my life. (And by that I mean I think I'm going to make this into a tradition that my future family is going to do as well. :) I guess it really touched me. Plus I'm unreasonably sentimental, so it works!)
So level two, for the year of 2011 (can you even believe it's really 2011? That sounds so... "Meet the Jetson's" ish, doesn't it?) is:

Determination

In dictionaries it says that determination is a noun, a firmness of purpose, or resolve. But at this point, my word is a verb. It's that little blobish man climbing over the wall :p, it's an act. Not a state. Not yet, anyway.
One of my old young women leaders posted this on her blog, but I thought it was really good (and mildly funny, making this a grand combination and a 'must add' for my blog. ;p).

Happy New Year's everyone! Good luck in whatever your resolutions are, in whatever you do, and wherever you go! "Peace and Blessin's" to you all. ;)
