Good morning Starshines... Shannon says, "Hello"

Hello. :)

Still sneezing, just in case you wondered. Haha I don't think I've ever sneezed so much in my entire life!! So Angie, I bequeath every last one of my sneezes to you. Enjoy.
On the bright side I almost could breathe this morning. And then that good news faded away :p Sad isn't it?
Last night I came home from visiting various people (P.S. Congrats to Piute Boy's Basketball for taking region! I knew we rocked. :p) to my cousin's robot baby thing sitting on my bed- STARING at me and (brace yourself) BREATHING!! Dolls were not meant to breathe, trust me. It's a little unnerving. So I grabbed my pj's and skidattled out of there!
And then this morning my dad and grandpa and uncle needed some calf stuff random madness so my mom decided I looked the most decent out of the two of us (I disagreed) and sent me to Cal Ranch... so I had to ask like five people for "O No More" which to me just sounds super dramatic like, "I'm looking for a miracle so that Oh no more will the adoptive mother cow smell the calf and they will bond in olfactory silence..." Yeah. Dramatic. Just thought I'd let you all know that running into a french teacher and going on a wild goose chase to find dramatic calf de-perfumeation is quite a nice start for a saturday. :)

AAAACHOO!!!!

Just so you all know- I hate sneezing.
And that's sort of one of the side affects of being sick. Pretty sure that's why I'm getting stupider. I'm just sneezing my brains out one bit at a time. Lovely isn't it? :p
So I had to go to work yesterday- which isn't on the top, or even the middle of the list of things I enjoy doing so I decided to do an experiment. I decided to try being annoyingly positive- and it worked. I was positive that it was annoying :p But it also worked in the sense that I realized about a million and five things I'm genuinely grateful for even when I feel like the world should just all end right this instant. Like how grateful I am for both my immediate and extended family. They're all so incredible and amazing examples- especially when it comes to examples of fairytale/ideal marriages. (I'm stuck on marriage right now, I'm sorry. Blame Adult Roles ;P) I'm also realizing how grateful I am for living where I do and the Lord's hand in EVERYTHING. I'm grateful for little kids :) and how innocent and beautiful they are. It's like you can feel heaven shining through them. I'm grateful for the gospel and realizing the relationship between us and Heavenly Father. Sometimes life seems so impossible and I think of how hopeless and lost I'd feel if I didn't know about the gospel and heaven and the plan of happiness and all that. So yeah. :) I just wanted to ramble my optimism thoughts of yesterday :p Have a lovely FRIDAY!!!!! (Finally!)
...... Wait. It is Friday right?

Yes, I am posting twice in one day. Is there a problem with that? :p

I have a complaint.
I'm seventeen, and this whole wedding planning assignment is supposed to be an eye opener- not a point of persuading me to join a convent. But after much searching and deliberation I finally found a modest wedding dress:

Haha, it's a little on the extreme side perhaps, but I definitely will be modest. Times ten!

Also, although its fun to plan and stuff I give up. So I'm posting lyrics to a song my friend sent me when she decided she was going to be my sunshine on my cloudy day in life :p I rather quite like them. It's
"You Are Loved (Don't Give Up)" by Josh Groban. (Who you should know is now considered by my friend to be a musical and lyrical god. :p)

Don't give up
It's just the weight of the world
When your heart's heavy
I...I will lift it for you

Don't give up
Because you want to be heard
If silence keeps you
I...I will break it for you

Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you
Everybody wants to be loved
Don't give up
Because you are loved

Don't give up
It's just the hurt that you hide
When you're lost inside
I...I will be there to find you

Don't give up
Because you want to burn bright
If darkness blinds you
I...I will shine to guide you

Everybody wants to be understood
Well I can hear you
Everybody wants to be loved
Don't give up
Because you are loved

You are loved
Don't give up
It's just the weight of the world
Don't give up
Every one needs to be heard
You are loved

Let the battle of the sexes begin!!

This week is (wanna take a stab at it? Yup, you've got it:) Battle of the Sexes! (woo woo!)
Monday was support your tribe day. Which I forgot about- but I happened to be wearing a Snow College shirt since I didn't get ready so it counts right?
Tuesday was tacky day- so I thought I'd rebel and wear something nice so I'd look extra cute in comparison to the wild and crazy ensembles the rest of the student body was wearing :p
And today (which p.s it's snowing and I'm still grumbling in my beard about it) is stoplight day. Red=taken, Yellow=it's complicated and Green=SINGLE BABY!! :p And you wanna know why they came up with this stoplight day?? It's because the student government knows how to be sneaking plotting hawks!! This is the perfect opportunity for people to scream to the world "I'M AVAILABLE! JUST ASK ME ON A DATE ALREADY!!!" Or, for the less fortunate, to say "Look bud, I'm taken. Back off before my girlfriend mangles me." And last, but not least, for those lovely yellow shirts to say "I'm in like with you- yeah you in the green. So thanks for nothing. However, to everyone who isn't the loser in the green that made me wear yellow- I'm not in red so feel free to flirt in good faith!" Hahaha I love it! Bwahaha! This whole battling the opposite gender (and totally winning of course) is giving me this high. Like sugar high- minus the starbursts.
Also for the assembly my friend and I were recruited to be in a skit. Which was, as is to be expected, a grandly fun man hater/vengeance is mine skit. :) Basically all us girls wander onto the floor screaming something or other about hating boys or 'I'm gonna kill him!!' or 'He called me FAT' etc... then a poor innocent boy minding his own business tells his boy... erm... girlfriend he can't take her to the movies anymore (the girl was a boy dressed up. Haha, just so that didn't sound awkward or anything.) and s/he storms off angrily as the boy mutters that she's just jealous... then "Hey ladies, you're lookin good in green today." -silence- "GET HIM!!!!!!!!" It ends with him in a trash can, us with pitchforks and a mannequin head in hand screaming our victory. :) Doesn't that sound lovely? It's a grand way to release tension. Fake a murder. Ahaha, I love it.

Face it America. Girls rule- boys drool. (Over us girls of course. See? It's logical, it makes sense- I rest my case.;p)

P.S.
GO GREEN BABY! (It holds a whole new meaning now. :D )

... Giggles.

Hello Monday- arch nemesis.
Hello blizzard (not the delicious ice cream. No, this is the kind that when November/December hits it's the most wonderful time of the year but when February rolls around it's like getting an ultimate punch to the esophagus.)
Hello stupid Freshmen P.E.
Hello Seminary. (We actually learned something today. Crazy huh?)
But here's the fun part: Hello Livi! My mom baby sits one of her friends daughter while she's at work, and I'm telling you she is THE CUTEST little girl on the face of the UNIVERSE! I'd post a picture, but idk if that's against baby sitter's confidentiality code of conduct or not. Just know she's adorable. And her being here has it's perks. Like smiles after slightly less than great mornings at school, and giggles. Lots of giggles. :D (She was walking out of the kitchen when she- for lack of a better word- stinkered, and she just giggled softly and said, "I toot!" I was LITERALLY on the kitchen floor laughing. We decided that's the charm of a little kid for you- things like that get less adorable when you grow up. Can you imagine me walking into Mads, giggling and saying, "oops, I toot!" :p Yeah. Not nearly as affective as a two year old saying it.) Plus my mom usually bakes cookies when Livi is here. A definite bonus. Until of course the evidence shows up and I have to feel fat all over again. It happens to the best of us I guess.
ANYWHO. I suppose I should brace myself to go to class now... :( I'd much rather stay here with Livi. :D Cutest girl!
Anywho, peace out
