Remind me to never be shocked again.

Because I think I've officially seen everything, since working at Bryce.

Holy smokes people, who knew such poor people could afford vacations? How do I know they're poor you ask?
Oh that's an easy one.

They wear no clothes. No big deal.
(Said with eyes bugging out of my head. Looking slightly green too. Haha)

Also, I think I'll have a stomach of steel. Sometimes people smell funny.
And sometimes by funny I mean vomitrocious.

But, on the incredibly brightly positive side of things, I really do love working at Bryce. It's a little stressful at times and exhausting, but it's so interesting to people watch so many different cultures and ages and... whatever else. Haha I can't even think of the word I was looking for now. I may have fried my brain.
Ooh, today this adorable little kid came up to the counter and plopped his souvenir down and then handed me a gift card. The cards all run like credit cards so you have to sign for them, and he had THE CUTEST little boy cursive signature. And he said "Thank you ma'am" when I gave him his receipt. Stinkin adorable!

Then there was another cute little boy who came up "'Scuuthe me? Where'th the whithle that hath a magnifying glath?" (Lisps are cute haha.) So I took him to the kids section and showed him all the whistles until he found the one he wanted. Then he said he had to go talk his mom into buying it. :p He was probably only fiveish? And he's already figured out that he can persuade his parents into purchase. Sad isn't it? :p

Also for the record I love that I get to live with one set of grandparents, and I'm close enough that I get to make little trips to Hatch to visit the other set. :) I'm a lucky duck, I believe!

Guess who has a day off....

neiner neiner and such. :)

So I slept in!

.... until 6:30.

But then I went back to bed. And had bizarre dreams about old guy friends doing my gel nails, creeper men not selling me ice cream and going to a ball. In a semi hideous but strangely cute black dress. (But my make up was awful. Not even strangely cute. I looked like a corpse bride. Where do I come up with these things??)

And then I had some breakfast and got ready and drove over to HATCH! :D

So I'm going to go visit with my seesters :)

Later guess what I get to do?

Swimming with my moo, and some institute!

Sigh... oh I love days off. :)

Spit fires, bad head lights, and accents!

Here's an update of my life:
-eat
-sleep
-work
... repeat. :p

Except I'm mostly just exaggerating those, because you've gotta add hygiene, and hanging out with Grandma, and working out with Maycee....
I really am enjoying my new job, but it's making time fly sooo fast! I'm already a week into it and I swear I just moved in two days ago!

I had Saturday off so Friday night I drove home to Cedar- which is where the bad head lights come in. (Erin brace yourself.)
Beuler, the beastly white buick, has headlights that have brights that are the equivalent of someone else's dims. Therefore when you're driving over Cedar Mountain, in the thick of a forest and someone brights you- the road temporarily vanishes. And you might tinkle in your drawers a little bit. But as a bragging right, I don't think I said even one bad word! (Not even when the giant monster buck ran in front of me either! :p)
Saturday we had a tea party that Bri planned for us, which was cutesy and really fun. (Thanks Bri!) But it made me think about my family, and how much everyone's grown up and how that's sort of really weird when you still think B is a baby but she's really a nine year old, and the twins who were 'Ham and Cheese' like, yesterday, are now going to the High School, and Ernie, who tattled that you maybe told her to not wash her hands once is a big bad Senior! Strange, isn't it?
Also this weekend, my dad drove around the used car lots with me and looked at cars. The second the word "cute" escaped my lips, I think he figured I'm doomed. ;) I'd like a semi decent looking car, so sue me. (Does that make me selfish p.s? Because I actually just feel bad now because I think I should be a humble grateful poor starving college student-ish person who would be happy to drive a junker. But I want a cute car. Darn it all...)

Today I worked with 'the sisters', Shirley and SheRon. Maycee pretty much covered it when she told me Shirley is a saint, and SheRon is a pistol. :p Shirley gives ten minute hugs, and SheRon is secretly a really nice woman while all the while telling you how she's going to roller skate to h-e- you know the rest. :p I love working with those two, until lunch time comes because we get laughing so hard I'm either going to choke or pee my pants. (I can't decide which would be worse.)

It's been so much fun to work at the Visitor's Center, because you see and hear just about everything.
Truly.
Like how a good percentage of women don't feel the need to wear underclothing...
Or old men run around in shorts that I'd blush to be seen wearing (that short!)
Or parents leaving their children at the visitor's center and running three miles down the road to Ruby's... I didn't know I was at a day care center too. ;)
I've seen some of the nicest, cutest little foreign people... and some of the worst. I think some people think it's their job to make everyone else in the world completely miserable. And they're pretty good at accomplishing that too.
But what makes this job so much fun is the little old man who says "Ze most beautiful sing in ze store is your eyes. I tell my friend that. Sank you, sank you." :p
See? There are perfectly nice people out there.

Also, I just have to comment on this. Again.
Is it just me, or is everyone getting married?? Goodness, I missed the memo apparently. Which is ok, because I think I've come to the conclusion that I'm way too immature to get married. Give me two years. And then I'll go on a mission, and maybe by then I'll grow up enough to join the masses in holy matrimony.

Until then? I'm going to go finish laundry and play some piano. :p

(Also, is it just me, or is this post totally lacking in dazzle and allure? Yeah, I'll get to work on spicing the blog up, I promise! It's just not been the same since my poor camera passed. ;p)

New Mantra (because Cherene my Aunt suggested it)

"I like this job, Life is good."
New chapters are being written folks! Which is insanely scary, and insanely exciting all at the same time! (But mostly just insane. ;) )

So as for an update, today was my first day and I mostly just toured the park and got to eat at Pines with my Moo Moo and Jill. I did a little bit on the registers, and heard all the information I'll need for this job.
Which made me feel kind of like this:
But the 'interp's are a desk away which provides all the entertainment value I'll need. And it was interesting to see (and hear) all the different people who came in. :) (Even though some countries apparently haven't found out that bra's are a fantastic invention. This might be a summer to discover all sorts of new fashion trends. :p)

As much as I know you guys want me to ramble on for hours on end about me and my life like I'm so vain and really think that song is about me- even though we all know it is ;) - it smells like Grandma is making dinner so I'm gonna run help! (Maybe I'll learn to be a good cook this summer too!)

P.S I really am so grateful that I get to be here in this whole new job/living with sweet grandparents situation this summer. They're so cute! (I think I'm going to get spoiled a tiny bit. :p)

Yes, it is in fact incredibly late.

Mantra of the moment, (as I sit in my room with every light on, still not sleeping...)
"Hate scary movies- love cute boys. Hate scary movies- love cute boys. Hate scary movies! Love cute... wait. What happened to detox?"

I am a successful human being, no worries.

sniffles, numbers, and a lame joke.

I just want you all to know I really enjoy having a cold in the summer. It's kind of really fun, and I've been so blessed with one.

... seriously? A cold in Summer? Geeze, pass the orange juice. :p

So, last night working at Subway was a total MADHOUSE! The entire three hours I was scheduled for (and the hour and 15 that I wasn't scheduled for) was a steady stream of people lined up to the door, and at least two cars in drive. Can you say stressed out? :p Chad only scheduled two of us... come on buddy, it's Summer Games! Help us out here. :)
Anywho... after feeling incredibly grumpy with snobby picky customers who took out their frustrations on us
(example A- woman in drive, tapping her fingers on her steering wheel and glaring at me through the window while I was making her sandwich, ringing her up and bringing it over. Sorry ma'am, I realize you have bags of ice melting in your back seat, but please realize I have seven thousand customers and my brain is just as melty as your ice.
example B- Woman in line, throwing a rather juvenile fit about us not having lettuce. Ma'am, write up a complaint, I'll get it to my manager. Since he's the one in charge of ordering. And since he's the one who scheduled only two of us. And since it's been crazy all day and we've ran out of everything and there's nothing else for me to do and I'm getting really peeved listening to your complaining through the whole line. See this smile? It's pretty forced ma'am. :p)
... shoot. Where was I going with this? Oh! After being grumpy about all the really nice people in the world who showed up at Subway and grouched at me, I spilled a large soda. Everywhere. So I had to make the person in drive wait while I mopped it up.
Woah! Double take? He was rather nice really great scenery. ;p
So, feeling rather frazzled, and having my reasoning impaired by fumes of lunch meats and pickles, I did what any girl would do. Giggled while I wrote my number on his receipt. Mwahaha!
Guess who texted? Yup. Mikey the cute boy who I gave my number to.
(My mom thinks I'm a knuckle head :p A very nice, very lovable one though of course, since she's my mom. "What if he's a murderer?" "Then I'll die a dramatic death! That's sorta what I need to go out, mom!" "Well, don't meet up with him unless it's broad daylight. With other people there. And maybe pepper spray." "... How about a large cleaver?" "Ok. ... Wait no, then he could cleave you in half!" Haha, it was a great conversation when I told her. You all should've been there. I giggled a lot.) Don't worry though, I plan to keep him at the safe distance of flirtatious texter buddy. I swear I won't give away any important information such as where I live. Or the color of my toothbrush.
(cough. yellow. cough) ... Shoot. :p

And now, just so I don't let you all down (or risk being accused of false advertisement,)
here is the lame joke:

What do you do with a dog that has no legs?
... Take him out for a drag. (Of course!)

T minus 4 days!

Dear readers, guess who's moving?
(Temporarily anyway.)

Yup, that'd be me. :) I got a full time job with more hours and higher wages in the visitors center at Bryce Canyon!

I start Monday morning, bright and early. Which is going to take some getting used to since I'm still in the nocturnal college student mode where my day ends well into the night and begins... well into the morning. :p
I'm really excited though! This will be good for me. :) Working lots of hours, and hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa Barton, having a running buddy in my cousin Maycee, having lots of time to do Pharmacy Tech studying, and having lots of distance between my social life obsession. Time to get things balanced, right? (I'm feeling a goal setting party coming on, and I'm really determined to get things all in order in life, and make and save some serious mulah!)

Anyway. Just thought I'd let you all know. :)
