Good Morning America ....or at least a few of you Americans... or whatever...

This morning I was all excited to sleep in, and dreaming wonderfully lovely dreams and guess what happened.

My father was up early with his new 'toy', the snow blower. Truly, he's like a kid on Christmas with that thing, but hey. Whatever makes bishop happy right? :) Of course right. (Name that movie :p)

So I finally found the batteries that were eaten by my personal boogie man beneath my bed... turns out he doesn't love battery acid as much as he thought and so he spit them out, just out of my reach. But I foundeth them and so now I can post some pictures of Riley.

He's kinda cute huh? We all love him. Probably too much since his feet rarely ever touch the floor. :p

We're off to Tropic today, for some cross country skiing and New Year partying! I'll be sure to take lots of pictures and tell you all about it :p Since I'm sure you all really truly want to know.

P.S Jacob just got a new camera... it was somewhere around $90 but it's 12.2(?)mp and it's amazing and I'm positively GREEN. It's so not fair.
AND this other boy that I once knew, who I never would've guessed likes photography, recently got a $700 SLR (Thanks to Angie I know what that means now :P) Camera. AND he's going to a photography school in Salt Lake.
Why am I lame? Yeah... that's what I wanna know. Oh well... someday I'll be rich and famous. Ha. With my friend Chris because some talent seeking agent is going to walk out of Bajio as we're belting angry songs from the top of the parking garage. Then the agent will make us famous, I'll buy a beach house on the east coast and live in my self inflicted solitary confinement forever more in peace. :) With plenty of books and chick flicks and chocolate and cameras to last me a life time.
Don't worry. If you're really nice to me now, I'll remember you when I'm ridiculously wealthy and send you saving bonds for Christmas or something. ;)

ALSO, one last thing. I have looked at my senior pictures, and deliberated and pondered exceedingly- and I found the one I want to use for an 8x10. Here it is:

Haha ok so maybe not. Idk though... it's a pretty good one. It expresses the inner me when I think of matters of senior year and growing up and college applications.

Yup, it's a winner.

Thank you my lovely cousin of the name of Angie! :D

This morning my mother sicked Riley on me as a wake up call. Haha, his little 'tough dog' barks kinda made me jump. (I was even in the middle of a lovely dream. How cruel is that?) So then I went to work, and I have an announcement. Between carrying boxes and then the sledding/hiking escapade yesterday I'm rather quite sore. And my wimpy tin foil car without 4-wheel drive doesn't do well with even a slight dusting of snow so I slid and prayed and cringed all the way to work. But I made it alive, and I'll have money soon to show all my sore muscles exactly why I put them through that misery.

Now to the title of the post. I had to give you background information so you could fully appreciate the silliness of looking through fun pictures after getting home from feeling grumpy all morning because I've been folding ribbons for three days. Thanks Angie for the awesome senior pics :) They were fun to take and even more fun to look through. I decided that I must have been sleep deprived and really full from thanksgiving dinner and tired because there's some pretty silly ones. But I love them, so thank you! :D

And now... I'm gonna go back to bed.

Well... ya see....

I was going to post pictures after all the Christmas morning mayhem. I promise. But... I sorta have a knack for losing camera related things. I have absolutely no idea how this one worked though. Here's the scoop. I had my batteries in the battery charger and was carrying them toward the outlet when I tripped and they went flying. Honestly the floor must have swallowed them up. Either that or else the boogie man IS real and he lives under my bed AND he has an appetite for battery acid. I could only find one. :( I even got on my stomach and looked under my hairy scary bed. And EVERYWHERE. The charger isn't even found. And it's big and bulky.
How I manage to do these kinds of things I'll never know.
I still blame the pants eating monster.

This post is rather short-ish and wimpy because it is, in fact, family home evening- and we have a mean wii tournament going on downstairs. I took a short break mainly for this:
CHERENE MY AUNT, THIS ONE'S FOR YOU:

"I've been uphill, and I've been downhill. ... Down hill is easier." (That also applies to stairs in case you were wondering. And despite Mr. Elison's refuting the physiological possibility of it, you CAN trip up stairs. So ha.)

So while I'm up here I'll explain the holiday festivities... no no no, that would take to long. Let me sum up. (Name that movie!)

Christmas Eve: Party at the LeFevres. Laughing uncontrollably at Uncle Lloyd the donkey/reindeer/camel, and Teancum the rider of all three previously mentioned animals. And his super awesome tricks :) ("Watch me how to fly!"... "Watch me how to jump!" and so on, and so forth.)
Then the grand surprise of Riley, some sparkling ciders and 'sleeping' parties.

Christmas Morning: (Well Duh. Do I really need to explain?)
Wrapping paper flying and smiles everywhere. (I got cool dishes. Neiner neiner.)
Fat French toast with blueberry syrup. :) Mm. And practically all you can eat sausage.
Christmas Afternoon: Travel to Hatch. Attempt to sled. Tip over a few times, then decide there's just too much snow for the poor wimpy four-wheelers and sleds to handle. (Don't you love it?? Too much snow!) A warm fire, some movie watching and playing with Riley (of course) and then bed.

Day after Christmas: Drive to Tropic. Poor Riley probably thinks he's stuck being a nomad and has no clue where he really lives. Eat WAY too much delicious food, talk about college and missions and life and growing up and all sorts of other nostalgia. Go home. :) (That was my favorite part. No offense Hatch and Tropic, but I just wanted to get out of the squishy truck- 7 people and one dog in a 6 passenger truck. Yum.- and sleep in my very own bed.)

The Day AFTER the day after Christmas: Church of course. And lots of primary kids and ward members coming to check out the puppy. Which I found kinda silly. But that's OK. He's cute- we'll show him off. :p

And that brings us to today. Mom and I worked around five hours today at Storytellers. I'm wiped out. Too bad work is the only source of income huh. Unless of course I have some super rich relative somewhere in a distant land who dies and I inherit their castle and valuables and sell them on eBay. Fun thought- not likely.
For my lunch break I took my friend Jordyn to lunch. Panda saves the day. Again. And then went to the Library to try and find Lightning Thief, which Jacob tells me is rather awesomely good. Then back to work for an hour- finish another 100 packs (woo woo!) (<- two windows! :p) And home to burn some more awesome theme song-y Cd's and eat and play games.

Speaking of which, I'm off to go win the winter Olympics. :)
Au revoir!

P.S Apparently I lied earlier when I said it was a wimpy short post. Ha. Haha. I'm a rambler. So this IS short for me. :p

Stars Delight....

IT'S CHRISTMAS EVE NIGHT!!!

This is still rather quite strange. But good news ladies and gents: it finally feels like Christmas to me! Except people are grumpy and that's sort of getting flustering. Ah the teenage girl hormones that rage through this house hold. Can't live with 'em, can't live..... no, actually that's about it. ;)

It's always been a tradition to open one gift on Christmas Eve, but this year we didn't think we would, since our main present is Disney Land tickets for Spring Break. We had the family dinner and stories and giggling... all the 'normal' Christmas celebratory madness. :p (We acted out the Christmas story too... with an Uncle as the donkey and a little cousin as a wiseman who rode the donkey. It got pretty lively. :p)
Anywho, we got home from the gathering and my parents told us we were opening one present tonight, and how good are we with sharing. We had to cover our eyes and be led into the front room where, "TA DA!!!" Our cute new little puppy, Riley, was waiting. I'm positive we nearly scared him out of his mind with our excited squealing and carrying on. The younger ones have all but mauled him, and not all of us are equally enthralled about him. But it's ok because he's rather adorable and softie fluffy. :)
We may have all lost our minds with our babying him... he even has a sweater. (rolls eyes. :p)

Pictures tomorrow.
Freaking out with excitement tonight. :p

(MERRY CHRISTMAS!)

P.S...... :)

I LOVE THAT MOVIE WITH ALL OF MY LITTLE HEART AND SOUL!

I was born to be a Disney Princess... :p Disney movies are the absolute best, they're classics and always will be and I don't care what anyone says about them. They're my favorite forever and ever amen! :p

Ok, down to reality: it's super adorable. I love that it's in New Orleans, and the accents and southern belles... I was so born in the wrong place and time period. :p My point, though, is I highly recommend The Princess and the Frog. :) There were about a million little kids there and it was cute to listen to them giggle at everything. And a funny date couple in front of me which was hilarious to watch because he was hinting THE ENTIRE TIME to hold hands and she was folding her arms the entire time. (Heh heh heh.)

And now I have a date I must be going to... so TTFN, ta ta for now. :p (Name that movie.)

I'm in love I'm in love and I don't care who knows it!

-fill in the blank with whatever title would make your little heart sing. I give up on trying to think of something original to title this.-

Today. So much for sleeping in today. :p It's like I have a million tiny Shannon's in my head in charge of files of memories, memos, special dates and all that good stuff. Unfortunately the tiny Shannon in charge of the internal alarm clock didn't take her being fired very well and now I can never sleep in. It's probably just her revenge, but I can't ever sleep past 7:30-8:00ish. Lame right? Especially on holidays when you could totally get away with sleeping til 12.

My parents have disappeared.
We believe it was the aliens again. :p Just kiddin, they went on a date of some sort and so today is 'sister day'. We're going to see the new Disney princess movie. I'm actually rather quite excited. :)

Looks cute, huh? :) I'll have to let you know how it goes. My guess is I'll love it, and since it's just one of those days I'll bawl through it. It'll be very touching. :p We'll see if my prediction is close.

Speaking of movies: for Jacob's birthday we went to Avatar.

Which, I must admit, I was fairly wary about. It seemed like some complete weirdo movie. And to an extent, it was. :p But I actually really liked it. The special effects are way cool. It's like 2 and a half hours though, and the theater was super ridiculously warm. I thought I was going to suffocate for a minute there. Back to the movie. It's like a green/international peaceful communication promotion sorta. It kinda makes me giggle. But it's so cool, the world that they live in is all glowy and cool and all the animals there sort of reminded me of the monster on Cloverfield. Plus it has romance. :p And I guess it's fairly predictable, but I get into movies so I was stressing out the whole time. :p

ALSO- still on the topic of movies, I finally saw Inkheart. Which I liked a lot. Haha Erin, this one's for you:

Tonight I'm going on a double date to an SUU basketball game. Just in case you wondered what my plans were.

P.S I never know how to end these things.
Fin?

(Sigh) :)

This morning when I finally went to bed at TWO am. (... and she calls me 'cause I'm still awake... :p) I was dreaming of snow. And a few hours later when I went to work it was snowing :) Lovely timing I think. And every time I'd turn around and look out the window again it seemed like the snow flakes had grown. My mom said they looked like great big chicken feathers. :) Which of course made me think of angels having pillow fights then sitting silently on fluffy cloud beds and watching all the feathery snowflakes drift down. That would be quite a view, wouldn't it.

I'm supposed to have this fun girl's lunch date in half an hour, but no one's answering their phones so I'm not completely sure what's going on now. And I'm cutting my hair at one. And I kinda want to do something new but I'm growing my hair out and after chopping ten inches last year, a few layers doesn't really compare to the previous 'wow' factor. Maybe I'll dye it green. :p

Now for the countdown to Christmas! Can you believe that there are only two more days (not counting today of course,) until Christmas? This is so incredibly odd. It doesn't even feel like it should be Christmas yet. And I'm rather sad to realize that this year I might actually have no trouble falling asleep on Christmas Eve. ... Although that's unlikely. Even though I've been informed of my gifts, Christmas Eve is always one of those 'lay in bed with the warm fuzzy/butterfly feeling in your stomach as you watch the twinkling glow of Christmas lights on your bedroom wall and giggle with your sisters' kind of moments.

I just can't wait til "Star's delight, it's Christmas Eve night!" ;)

LUNCH BREAK!!!

This morning I went to Storytellers. And I almost turned into a heavy-weight lifting champion. Intense, I know. I've got 3.9 hours down for today so far and now my dears, I am on lunch break. Ah blessed lunch break, how I long for your relaxing saftey and comfort of food. :p

Also:
Dear Angie, Stop what exactly? :p
And as much as I love taking pictures, I'm afraid I'm behind with the lingo. So I'm not actually entirely sure what an SLR is or if that's what I'm using. :p I just have my little Nikon 'coolpix' camera. It's almost wimpy, but it gets me through. ;p Anywho, I had a dream about my senior pictures, and I'm rather super extra excited to go through them now. :p

(Back to the feature presentation:)

Last night we had a Trek Remember fireside thingy... We pretty much just watched the DVD of pictures and cried a little and listed to the bishop. It was lovely.

But the fun part was the fact that my sunday school teacher is THE coolest sunday school teacher on the face of the earth! I mean really, parties at his hanger, flying in his plane...? Like I said, THE coolest.

Anywho, last night we went Christmas caroling to lonely people in the ward after the fireside and then went back to his house for delicious Stephen's hot chocolate and some intense rounds of Catch Phrase. :p The Elder's even joined us! It was so much fun... I think my stomach still hurts from laughing so much. :)

Would you like to hear some news? Good or bad first?

Good it is then: TODAY IS IN FACT FRIDAY THE 18TH!!! DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS PEOPLE?? IT MEANS THAT WE'RE OUT OF SCHOOL FOR NOT LONG ENOUGH, BUT IT'LL HAVE TO DO! CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST HERE PEOPLE!!!

I woke up this morning to a beautiful realization. Today is the first saturday of many. Lovely isn't it? I think so. Last night my friend Kassie and I watched Julie and Julia. (She hadn't ever seen it. But that's ok because I've decided it's my new favorite movie.) She said it makes her just want to get married and cook everyday. :p It is pretty cute though. Haha (LOBSTER KILLA!)

I suppose you're now wondering what the bad news is. Me too. I started this post last night but then Kassie got here about the time I was announcing, "CHRISTMAS IS ALMO..." so I saved it and left. And everyone knows it's pretty tough to remember silly angry bad news that was probably just me bein grumpy after you've slept it off. Morning is a happy new sunshiny day. Therefore: No bad news that I can think of. Yet. I guess I could tell you that it's kind of frustrating when two people you love both change so much, one changes a little more for the better than the other one and you worry about the other one and the two friends of yours that used to also be friends of eachother now hate eachother and you're somewhat stuck right in the middle. The middle is no fun. :p In seventh and eighth grade I always used to be in the middle. Not just figuratively. I guess my friends always got annoyed cuz I'd always get to sit in the middle and walk in the middle and always the middle. Now I'm more of a flying solo person. Isn't life weird?

Everything changes so much! Or grows at least. Check these pictures. This is from my fourteenth birthday- which I distinctly remember feeling super old, and really big. Um, do you SEE me? I'm this little deux teenager who has no clue about a whole lot of things. :p I also remember that I insisted on the picture on the couch with all my sisters. I can't remember why that was so SO important to me on that birthday especially, but my sisters most definitely weren't on the same page and REALLY didn't want to take the picture. It was a rather grumpy morning. :p

Also, since it's 'early' on a saturday morning at the moment and NO ONE is awake, I was just going through pictures for fun and I found these that I took forever ago. Ok so like... Last fall? I think? It feels like forever ago. But anyway. I kinda like them. :)

Mmm... Autumn. Haha... I feel all warm fuzzy now. Too bad it's a blustery winterland in Cedar for a while.

Ever have those days...?

The kind of days when people make you wanna cry and you sort of want to just leave them in the dust but you know you can't. And you know that you can't go to the people that make you happy because of one reason or another- mainly because it's just one of those days.

Since you can't go to the happy people you think maybe you want to drown your sorrows in ice cream but hey, who wants to gain 200 lbs in one day? Not I said the little Shannon. Therefore you turn to....

Photography. But your batteries are dead and the 'lost and never to be found' monster ate your charger.

Maybe just looking at pictures will do.

I mean, it was that day where you get lost in thought while warming your frigid blue fingers over the toaster when you smell burning bread. So much for toast. But then you notice your little sister used a giant bread cutting knife to butter her own toast and you giggle a little and feel slightly better. But you can't waste the burnt toast and it sorta just ruins the previous giggle moment to eat charred bread.

......

That is EXACTLY how I feel sometimes. :p

I don't know what to title this post of total randomness

In English the other day we did an 'allusion' activity thing... with different famous people's answers to the infamous question:

Why did the Chicken cross the road?

"To die in the rain. Alone."

"In my day we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Someone told us the chicken crossed the road and that was good enough."

"That chicken crossed the road because he's GUILTY! You can see it in his eyes and the way he walks!"

"Why are the chickens always white? We need some black chickens..."

"I missed one?"

"When I was the First Lady I personally helped that little chicken across the road, and that gives me the unique ability- from day one- to ensure that every little chicken can cross the road in safety. But this really isn't about me, is it?"

"It's not about why the chicken crossed the road, it's about if he's on our side or theirs. There is no middle ground."

(Hehe... grand aren't they? Maybe I was just really tired that day though.)

More Random Quotes:
